Elegant white heels were definitely the shoe du jour on the New York Fashion Week front rows. From Céline to Tibi, keep it glossy and simple and Colgate white.

Cowboy boots

street style trends

From Calvin Klein to Miu Miu, cowboy boots were a big hit on the catwalk last season and they now seem more wearable than ever before. Choose darker hues to prevent the look feeling overly Western and wear with skirts and dresses rather than jeans.

A high-necked chunky knit

street style trends

An easy and very cosy trend to cash in on this season. Wear chunky polo-neck jumpers with floaty skirts or skinny jeans and statement accessories.

String bags

street style trends

While basket bags are still in favour, the humble string bag is the one to be seen carrying now. The best bit? You can get in on the trend for less than you’d pay for a cup of coffee.

Corduroy

street style trends

If you’re bored of your denim, this is the trend for you. Corduroy was seen all over the catwalks of Prada, Marc Jacobs and Mulberry – and we’ll be wearing ours from head to toe.

A bum bag

street style trends

Whether you style yours across your body, around your waist or sat on your hips, the bum bag is definitely a great way to update your look for the new season.

A slouchy suit

street style trends

Trouser suiting is going nowhere fast and this season, it is all about loose-fitted, slightly oversized shapes. Wear bare now and with polo-necks come winter.

BHS’s former Oxford Street flagship store open its doors again with a little bit of help from Kate Moss

The former BHS Oxford Street store, which became widely associated with the 88-year-old retailer’s tumultuous collapse, is to open its doors again today as Polish fashion chain Reserved launches into the UK.

Of the 160 BHS shops that were shuttered following its demise, around 60pc of the estate remains empty with discount retailers such as B&M Bargains taking on the majority of stores.

Reserved is hoping to breathe new life into the BHS shop and appeal to British shoppers by hiring supermodel Kate Moss and close-friend of former BHS owner Sir Philip Green to front its fashion campaign.

Marek Piechocki, boss of Reserved’s Polish parent company LPP, shrugged off questions that taking the BHS space would be like walking in dead mens’ shoes by saying that the 32,000 square foot Oxford Street store was the type of central location that they had been looking for several years.

Mr Piechocki said that he had “every confidence in the UK retail market and the Oxford Street store in particular”.

The London store is LPP’s first step into the UK market after opening 1,710 shops in 20 countries across central and Eastern Europe. Last week the company recorded PLN 3bn (£650m) in half-year sales.

“I’m realistic about the challenges of the UK market”, he added. “In terms of footfall, there’s still a place for bricks and mortar stores as destination shopping locations and that is what Reserved Oxford Street will be. At the same time, we are a multi channel business and have a U.K.-wide ecommerce offering to complement the in store business.”

Mr Piechocki said that he believed it was “still too early to know for sure” how Brexit would affect the UK market.

Mindy Kaling’s Sparkly LBD Is Her Most Glam Maternity Look Yet

Since announcing she was pregnant with her first child, Mindy Kaling has been serving up a series of fierce maternity looks, from statement sleeves to Valentino LBDs, but Tuesday night’s look might just be her most glam one yet.

For The Mindy Project‘s final premiere party, the mom-to-be sparkled in a glittery caped little black dress that accentuated her changing figure and gave us Superwoman vibes in the process, which is fitting for this actress, producer, and soon-to-be mom. Kaling accessorized with metallic pumps, drop earrings, and matching silver jewelry. She polished off the maternity look with a crimson lip and soft waves.

“‘A little less conversation a little more action’ is how I would describe my look for the final [The Mindy Project] premiere party,” she wrote on Instagram.

While Kaling has not confirmed the identity of the baby’s father, we now know the sex of her first child: The actress is having a girl! Sources confirmed to People this weekend that Kaling has a baby girl on the way.

“It’s so unknown to me,” she told Sunday Today of her pregnancy. “I have a lot of control over a lot of aspects of my life, and this is one where I’m like, ‘Okay, it’s out of my hands,’ which is kind of a fun feeling.”

We’re wishing all the best for this glam mom-to-be.

Transform your outfits with pearl, vintage necklaces

statement necklace, touch of modernity, trendy outfits, pearl necklace, classy look, necklace, Indian express news, Indian express

Accessories like good statement necklaces can transform a dull outfit and make you look more glamorous and chic. Invest in neckpieces like those made from pearls, coloured pieces or buy the multi-layered strings, suggest experts.

Shehzad Zaveri, creative director at Minawala and Parneet Thukral, Co-Founder at Gioielli have shared a few examples:

Pearl necklace: An all-time classic, a statement pearl necklace is perfect for an elite and sophisticated look. To add a touch of modernity to your style, pair your trendy outfits with a pearl necklace to achieve a well-groomed and classy look.

Vintage necklace: Vintage inspired necklace oozes class and sophistication. When paired with evening gowns, these types of neckpieces give an eternal look. For day time, combine it with a patterned or striped buttoned-up collared shirt to achieve a retro chic look.

Geometric neckpiece: The clean lines of these necklaces will give you a sleeker and edgy look. Many people doubt the prospect of wearing a statement necklace with simple outfits, but you can always select a necklace that is not very loud and can best suit your needs.

Coloured stone necklace: One of the basic tricks to wear a coloured stone statement necklace is to match the colour of your necklace with one of the colours in your outfit. These necklaces can also be used to add a pop of colour to the outfits with pastel or nude tones. You can also team them up with your all black outfits to create a distinctive look for yourself. Do not wear bright coloured necklaces at work. Instead wear a piece that has neutral colours.

Multi-layered necklace: These go well with casual as well as dressy outfits. They can also be worn with v-necks and striped shirts as they balance out the shape of the neckline. Layer it up over solid coloured evening wear.

Lioness Jodie Taylor’s winning diet

The England and Arsenal striker, 30, talks about how she’s fuelling up during this summer’s Euros

The Lionesses are off to a flying start in the Women’s EURO 17 after Jodie Taylor’s incredible hat-trick last night saw them win their first match against Scotland. We caught up with Taylor to see what her diet looks like in between her matches and hectic training schedule.

Breakfast

‘We normally start training around midday, so it’s usually a relaxed morning for me. On a training day, I usually have eggs with a veggie skillet of sweet potatoes and mushrooms cooked in coconut oil for breakfast, plus a coffee. On a non-training day, I love poached eggs on sourdough with avocado.’

Lunch

‘We get lunch provided for us at the club straight after we train. It’s usually a good balance of lean protein, carbs and veg. I try to eat white fish, rice and a mix of vegetables and fruit.’

Dinner

‘I eat a lot of chicken and I love Middle Eastern food, so marinated and grilled chicken with salad. It’s all about lean proteins and good carbohydrates. For me, it’s what I have post-training to help my recovery that’s important. I always have eggs, milk, vegetables and meat in the fridge.’

Snacks

‘I have protein smoothies every day as a snack. I mix protein powder, almond milk, berries, super greens powder or spinach, some yoghurt and peanut or almond butter.’

Post workout

‘If I’m doing a session on my own, I make sure I have a protein smoothie straight away, then a balanced meal within an hour.’

Drinks and treats

‘I drink a lot of water and a couple of good coffees a day, I love coffee! I really like chocolate for a treat, but try to limit it. My treat meal is a burger and sweet potato fries.’

Supplements

‘I use Amino Man R5 (£39.99 for 400g; aminoman.com) which helps with my body’s recovery and repair. I have a super greens mix to get more veg in, plus fish oil as I don’t really like salmon, and a multivitamin.’

Polar Loop Activity Tracker

A personal trainer every hour of the day, on your wrist!

If you want your New Year’s resolution of being a healthier, fitter you to continue right through the year, this nifty little device might just help give you the extra encouragement you need! The activity tracker from Polar can be your answer to a full-time personal trainer.

It’s technology keeps track of your activity all day long, breaking it down into five different intensity levels – resting, sitting, low, medium and high activity. For many of us office jobs mean remaining seated for a large chunk of the day – not the best of things for your health. To combat this the Loop can be used to send reminders to your phone of when you’ve been inactive for a while. Just the encouragement we need to get moving!

It’s low, medium and high activity levels allow the Loop to distinguish between a stroll, jogging and sprinting, making it really efficient in keeping track of your calorie burning. It’s also completely waterproof, so if you’re a swimmer you can monitor the power of your strokes.

Setting daily goals can make it easier to keep you’re fitness on track. If you input these goals into your Loop it can send you reminders of what more needs to be done to smash those targets. You can even break down goals for different paces of exercise – 60 minutes walking, 20 minutes running and so on.

Keep you’re activity tracker on even when you want to switch off and see if it’s restful or restless sleep you’re getting each night. If you want to go that extra mile in listening to what your body is telling you try attaching the Polar H7 heart rate monitor to your chest.

You can easily review your weekly or monthly progress by linking your device to the Polar Flow app or website. Take your pick from the three pretty shades: Misty Blue, Blackcurrant and Smoky Black.

Ace the art of redefining small eyes

ways to make eyes look bigger, make up to high eyes, how to make eyes look bigger, make up tips to bigger eyes, make up for small eyes, Indian express, Indian express news

Large eyes add to the beauty of a face — but what of those who have been gifted by nature with small eyes? Makeup artist Aashmeen Munjaal and Aakriti Kochar, Beauty and Makeup Expert at Oriflame India, share some steps to redefine small eyes without any hassle.

Eyeliner on Top. Well, first and foremost, put eyeliner on the top lid. Make sure the eyeliner is thin and crisp and use a well defined eye liner brush to ensure it.

Groomed Eyebrows. It is all about groomed eyebrows. Keep your eyebrows up and groom it beautifully to make sure that your eyes stand out and look larger.

Play it Pale. Pale eye shadow can actually enhance the size and shape of your eyes. This tip for small eyes is all about putting pale eye shadow along your lid. It can really be any colour that you want, but make sure that it is pale.

Light Colours. Use light colours to brighten the eyes. This makeup tip makes your eyes appear super awake and alert without you having to try too hard.

Eye Shadow. If you are looking for a way to make your eyes really stand out, just swipe a bit of a dark coloured eye shadow along the outer corners of your eyes. That will really make them pop and you can even draw out the colour of your eyes.

Smudge it up. Another great tip for small eyes is to smudge your liner a little bit. This can be done on the upper and lower lids. Now, don’t make it look too smudgy, but just enough.

The Highlighter Trick. Use a highlighter in pearl white (soft sheen) on the arch of your eye brows and on the inner corner of the eyes (tear drop area) using a small brush. This brightens up the eyes and make them appear stronger and bigger.

Use the Curler. Curl your lashes using an eye lash curler, this will open up the eyes even more making them look bigger. Add lots of mascara, a thin top coat for volume and several coats from the bottom to add length which in return create the illusion of big eyes. Do not forget to mascara the lower lashline as well as this will add to the shape of the eyes even more.

This CREEPY self-nail art with long HAIR attachments is freaking everyone out!

Fashion is always evolving and what might be hot today may just be out tomorrow. But in the quest to be unique and quite hatke, sometimes fashionistas end up thinking way out of the box and come up with something not only weird but also downright outlandish and oddly disturbing. While we are still trying to get our heads straight around squiggle eyebrows and lips, here’s another eerie fashion invasion to baffle our minds.

Illusion artist Dain Yoon from South Korea unveiled new nail art on the virtual world — self-nail art. Wondering what’s that? Well, it’s where each of her nails were etched with her own face, and to make it perfect, she added long strands of hair as well! Imagine long black tresses hanging from the sides of your finger! Yes, perfectly drawn eyes, nose, eyebrows, red lips and jet black hair — they do resemble the artist, don’t they?! And to create a variety, there she’s posed in various expressions too!
